07 of 9 · The Agentic Commercial Model
CS structured and measured to drive and prove value realisation, not just manage renewals.
This layer covers how a business proves, and makes visible, the value a customer is actually getting, not just whether they renew. It spans usage depth tracking, ROI dashboards a customer can see without asking, and shifting customer success from a once a year renewal conversation into a continuous, shared motion for surfacing value as it's created.
The deepest form of retention in agentic software usually isn't a contractual renewal clause. It's the accumulated, account specific calibration a customer would forfeit by switching, and most companies never make that visible to the customer who is quietly building it, which means it sits unused as a retention asset until the renewal conversation defaults back to price.
Left unmanaged, the value a customer has built with a product stays invisible to them, and a renewal conversation with no visible value story defaults to a price negotiation. This layer has to continuously show the customer what they've built together: proactive spend transparency, ROI evidence, and a communication cadence that earns trust before the renewal date, not during it.
